Beef Cattle Operation
Our cow-calf herd, established in 2010 only continues to grow. A cow-calf operation consists of keeping mother cows year after year with the hopes that they will have a calf each year. These calves will either be used for beef production, put into our show cattle operation, or be kept on the cow-calf side for breeding purposes. We strive to bring high quality genetics into the herd through the occasional purchase of new cattle and precise selection of quality bulls for artificial insemination.

Show Cattle
As mentioned, we keep our best looking calves to be shown at our local county, 4-H, and state fairs. Addi, Elle, Maggie, Ben and Liz spend hours all year long with their cattle preparing them for show. As the show season approaches, each animal is given daily baths, blow drying, walks and are fed custom feed blends. They have been exhibiting cattle for years now, and have made friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. We encourage you to support your local 4-H or FFA programs any chance you get!
Feeder Calf Operation
We are also focused on our feeder calf operation, with an interest in direct consumer marketing. A feeder calf operation means we raise any calves that will not be added to the herd permanently, and fatten them to a healthy slaughter weight. We source cattle from our own herd, and from Kasey’s family farm located in Shelbyville, Illinois; allowing us the ability to trace the entire path of the fattened cattle, from birth to slaughter. We have focused on selling our beef ready for processing to buyers locally around Champaign.
Our cattle are currently processed at Das Schlacht Haus, located in Arthur, Illinois. Please contact us if you are interested in a quarter, half or full side of farm fresh beef. Contact us with questions about our cut sheet if you are interested; it provides a basic breakdown of how to process an animal, but can be specified to your needs.
